Parent Info – Summer Programme
All staff at KAA work tirelessly to ensure students are happy at school and committed to being the best they can be. We demand a lot, setting high standards for students and staff, with a ‘no excuses’ approach to attitude, work and discipline. But we also provide careful support. Because we currently have just four year groups and are growing gradually year by year, KAA teachers are able to know every student as an individual and closely nurture and challenge them all. Having opened another London academy from scratch and helped lead it to ‘outstanding’ in my previous role, I know the many opportunities that a start-up school affords, and how to make the most of them.
If you click around the website you’ll see plenty of information for students and parents – our curriculum pages, information about our partners Godolphin & Latymer, Charterhouse, LAMDA and RAD, recent videos and news stories, our prospectus and Sixth Form prospectus, current vacancies and details of all other elements of life at KAA. Prospective parents should visit our admissions pages for details of how to apply for entry into Year 7. The national closing date for applications for September 2017 entry into Year 7 was 31 October 2016 and the national offer date was 1 March 2017. If you are an exceptional teacher who wants to join our rare and exciting project as it enters its fourth year of operation please view our current opportunities.
With best wishes,
What they say about KAA
“I was inspired by my visit to KAA. Talking to the students about their hopes and aspirations for the future and hearing them speak in such an articulate manner is clearly the product of a culture and ethos of high expectation and a belief that they can and will achieve. The team at KAA have made a fantastic start and are well on the road to establishing a truly great school.”
– Sir David Carter, National School Commissioner
“Leadership and management and student behaviour at KAA are outstanding. Students and parents are very positive about the work of the academy, and with good reason. It provides a safe, orderly environment with very clear ground rules; this enables students to flourish in their academic and personal development.”
– Marcia Headon ex-HMI, former Regional Director of Ofsted
“‘I have visited many schools in my time and KAA is one of the most impressive. It is an amazing school with amazing students.”
– Dr Lee Elliot Major, Chief Executive, The Sutton Trust
“David Benson, Principal of the Kensington Aldridge Academy, is developing aspirational new approaches to the curriculum for students.”
– The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, former Secretary of State for Education
