Match Report by Miss Demeester

This week both the U13 and U15 girls football teams faced Burlington Danes Academy. Excitement was high on the coach journey and the teams arrived determined to win.

It was the start of the U15 league and the girls have a tough season ahead as they face teams with older and more experience students. Year 8 student Tyra (8 Baker) stepped up and gave the team a hand when a member got injured and played brilliantly in defence. Fantastic footwork allowed the team to score a great goal in the first half but it was not to be and the game finished with BDA taking the win.team-pic

The U13s were fresh off their win before half term and started strong with an early goal from new team member, year 7 student, Ellie (7 Grey-Thompson). BDA managed to come back with a goal tying the score at half time. In the second half Ellie’s scoring continued with another great goal, but BDA were a strong team and equalised again. It wasn’t long before team captain Lilian (8 Nijinsky) scored a brilliant goal. With minutes to spare BDA snuck another goal in and a good game finished as a draw. The team were in high spirits with fantastic skill being shown by both sides.

U13 Woman of the Match: Ellie
