KAA celebrates exceptional first A Level results

Kensington Aldridge Academy are delighted to announce a fantastic first set of A level results for our founder sixth formers.

Students have produced results that exceed performance nationally. Our value added score indicates our students perform a third of a grade better at A Level than those with the same GCSE results in other schools. 62% of all results were A*- B and 99.6% were graded A* – E. They are exactly what we hoped for, and underline the outstanding provision here at KAA.

A number of students have achieved fantastic results, including Alex, who got an amazing 5 A*s in Physics, Maths, Computer Science, Spanish and Further Maths.

Nearly 100% of students have been able to secure competitive university places, with the majority of students securing places at their first-choice university. We also have two students who have been accepted to Oxford. Abdullahi has secured a place at Christchurch College Oxford to study French and Russian, and Kai has been accepted by Oriel College Oxford to read Spanish and Linguistics. This is a fantastic result in our first cohort of university admissions, and we hope to secure many more Oxbridge places in the coming years.

Principal, David Benson, said “All staff at KAA are very proud of our students following our first set of A-Level results. The results are a huge credit to the commitment and expertise of teachers and the dedication of our students. I am very happy for all of our students, two who have places at Oxford University.”

All of our sixth form students are given the opportunity to attend a week long Oxford residential. This year our students spent a week at Queens College and Hertford College, Oxford in September. This was a great inspiration for our students, many of whom went on to apply to Oxbridge following this experience. We are again providing this aspirational opportunity to our new cohort of sixth formers this September, when our new year 12s will be studying at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.

Enrolment day for the September 2018 sixth form intake is on Thursday 23rd August at our Silchester Road site.
