KAA Intrepidus Trust Big Give Campaign
The KAA Intrepidus Trust (KIT) are taking part in The Big Give this December. The Big Give is the UK’s largest online match-funding campaign, and takes place between midday on Tuesday 1st December to midday on Tuesday 8th December. All donations made via the Big Give website to the Intrepidus Trust during the week of the campaign will be doubled by two match funders – a generous private donor, and one of the Big Give’s official partners, the Childhood Trust.
KIT’s mission is to broaden the horizons of the 1,300 pupils of Kensington Aldridge Academy (KAA). The Trust aims to provide KAA pupils with opportunities which equal the best that can be found anywhere in the country, through the delivery of an ambitious programme of performing & creative arts, life-skills and sports enrichments.
Donations made to The Big Give will pay for KIT programmes over the next 12 months, including:
- £2,500 – will meet the costs of six weeks of outdoor rowing tuition and swimming for 245 students
- £5,000 – will support specialist provision for vulnerable children and those affected by school closure
- £7,500 – 78 students will be able to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme
- £10,000 – 30 students will receive weekly 1:1 instrumental tuition for a whole academic year
