Pankhurst wins House Drama

Just before half term we were treated to an amazing showcase of talent and creativity in the form of the House Drama competition. The theme of the competition was A Night at the Movies with each house producing a story acted silently (bar some excellently chosen music).

We were lucky enough to have three incredible judges; Joanne Leung, Actor, Assistant Producer and Educator, Laurence Bowen, Multi-BAFTA Award-winning and Emmy-nominated Producer, and our very own Mrs Vines. Candice and Violetta (Year 10) provided the wonderful introductions to each entry.

Angelou gave us “Holiday Hijinx” a story about a flight that went wrong. Franklin gave us “A Night in the Museum”. a funny sketch about a banana being worth more than a traditional piece of art. Pankhurst gave us “A Heist? Don’t bank on it!” complete with a brilliant twist and Honeyball, “Euston, we have problem”, a sketch about lost bags and a clever clown.

The results were: first place goes to Pankhurst, followed by Angelou in second place, Honeyball secured third place, and Franklin claimed the fourth spot. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances!
