On Tuesday 2nd February the KAA rowing team took part in the London Youth Rowing ‘Row 4 Results’ competition at Hurlingham Academy. After a series of training sessions a strong KAA team was selected, comprising of both year 7 and 8 boys and girls. The event required the team to use the indoor machines to row as many metres as possible in the set times for their year group. Average scores were taken from all particpants to determine the winning school.

The team performed admirably on the day and used what they had learned in training to implement excellent technique. The KAA team now has the privilege of representing all of West London in the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships in March.

The team will be training in preparation for this prestigious event and we are very proud of their achievement against such strong opposition. 

KAA Team:

Year 7: Ricardo (7 Kahlo), Soufian (7 Nijinksy), Donna (7 Kahlo), Mia (7 Hepburn), Mierna (7 Kahlo), Ruby (7 Hepburn)

Year 8: Cameron (8 Balon), Jeanette (8 Simmons), Lana (8 Dyson) and Khamiya (8 Kidston)

1^st Place Kensington Aldridge 1114.1

2^nd Place Feltham Community College 1057.4

3^rd Place Fulham College Boys 921.7

4^th Place Hurlingham Academy 708.5
