Sixth Form Students Prepare for Future Success

Today, Friday 10th July our Sixth Form students took part in an inspiring Preparing for Success Day, designed to build confidence, resilience and the skills needed to excel in university, graduate recruitment and future careers.

The day began with an engaging KAAlumni and Professionals Panel, where students heard first-hand about a wide range of career pathways and gained valuable advice from former KAA students and industry experts. This was followed by a networking session, giving students the opportunity to make professional connections and practise their communication skills.

Students then participated in a realistic Assessment Centre Experience, taking part in group tasks and individual interviews similar to those used by leading employers and graduate recruiters.

We were delighted to welcome professionals from a diverse range of organisations and sectors, including the Civil Service, ITV, finance, construction, TimeGivers, the Francis Crick Institute and Imperial College London. We were also joined by KAA alumni, including a Cambridge graduate and former students now working in politics and at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The day provided invaluable experience, helping students develop the confidence, resilience and employability skills they need to succeed in interviews, assessment centres and beyond. We are incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers and alumni who gave their time to support and inspire the next generation.
