Spring 2 Assessment Week

PEThis week is an important week at KAA as it is assessment week. Students will sit summative assessments in all subjects. These assessments will review everything the students have learnt over the spring term. Students are expected to have made significant progress since September, and review week next week will allow students to reflect on whether they are on track to meet their end of year targets.

Miss Boyle’s assessment assembly this morning covered revision techniques and assessment criteria across the curriculum. Students are expected to prepare for their assessments by working hard in homework club and at home. Revision can take the form of looking up success criteria on KAA Online, being tested by a fellow student or a parent, working independently from revision booklets, discussing work with a teacher or another student, or working through revision material with a chromebook in homework club. Mostly importantly, students must remember that revision is about applying yourself and doing hard work.

At all times in life, but particularly during this assessment week, let us remember, the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. How will you prepare for success this week?

Best of luck to all students!
