MyChildAtSchool (MCAS)

KAA uses MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) to provide a single portal where parents and carers can view school communications and access information about their child’s school record.

All school communications are sent to parents and carers via MCAS.

Please sign up for an account using one of the options below, and then download the parent app.

MCAS is available to download from the links below, store or it can be accessed from any web browser.

Making payments

Payments for school dinners and other activities, such as school trips and clubs, will still be done via Parent Pay. At Easter, this will switch to MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) account.

Signing up for an account

There are two ways to sign up for an account.

Please read the information below, or watch this short video.

Option 1

The school will send an email to the registered email address of parents/carers inviting them to sign up for an MCAS account. The sign up email will contain a unique link which will expire within 24 hours. Please check your junk folder for the email. Sign up on the Web Browser, and not the app,

Option 2
If you don’t sign up within 24 hours or don’t receive the email, please follow the guidance below.
On the Parent Login screen, follow these steps:
1.    Click on the Sign Up link in the Parent Login screen here.
2.    Enter the school’s Postcode (W10 6EX) or School ID (140212).
3.    Select the school from the list in the dropdown.
4.    Click Continue.
5.    Enter the email address you have registered with the school (if your email address isn’t recognised contact info@kaa.org.uk).
6.    Click Sign Up.
7.    Once you’ve completed the Sign Up process, an email will be sent to the email address you provided with a link to a one time passcode. Click on the link and follow the instructions to finish setting up your account.

Once you have created an account, you should download the app using the links above. Ensure you turn notifications on to receive important updates from KAA. These notifications will replace text messages.

FAQResponse
I am not receiving my password request when I need it?Firstly, check your junk/spam folders in case the email is there. Secondly, we might not have the right email linked to you.
What to do if I have forgotten my password?Check the Reset Password link on the MCAS login page. See How to reset MCAS Password.
I get the message 'incorrect email address' when I attempt to login, what do I do?Please contact us, so we can update the contact record for you with the correct email address.
My email address associated with MCAS has changed, what should I do?The email address you use to sign up for MCAS must be the same as the one registered with the school. Please contact info@kaa.org.uk so that we can update your email address on the school system.
I am not receiving pop-up notifications from MCAS, what can I do?When you first install the app you are asked to allow notifications. We recommend that you do so that your app alerts you to new messages. If you need to adjust your settings later on, depending on the device you are using, you will need to go to Settings > Notifications and activate or allow the MCAS app to provide you with notifications.
How do I know if I have a new notification on the app?Like most apps, you will see a red dot appear next to the app's icon to signify that there is a new notification message to read. In the app itself, the number of unread messages will appear next to the messages icon. On the web view, it will appear on top of the email icon.
How do I check my details and my child/children's detail on the system are correct?Go to the Data Collection menu on the left-hand side to see the details we hold for you and your child/children.

You can submit changes to us using the same Data Collection screen. See here for how to do this. Those details are only available to the other contact.
As contacts we both share the same email address. Is this a problem? No, that's absolutely fine. When you log in with a shared email you will see a message that asks you to pick the profile/the contact name you want to use to view the data.

Once logged in, you will be able to change the profile (which contact you are logged in as) by clicking on the name in the top right, and selecting change profile.
I have more than one child at different schools using MCAS. How do I see both?MCAS works across multiple schools, as long as you have provided the same e-mail address to each school you are able to use one login to access all of your children’s schools.

If parents have more than one profile using the same email address, a popup will appear, select the profile they wish to use to continue to the Dashboard.

Students associated with each profile are displayed on the right-hand side. Note: Hover over the student icons on the right hand side to see the student’s names associated with each profile.
How to select the MCAS DashboardThe MCAS Dashboard allows parents to view multiple Student MCAS accounts in one place.

All Students linked to a parent account will appear in the top left dropdown in the Dashboard with school and student name. This dropdown allows parents to switch between different student accounts.

For the MCAS Desktop view in the example image below this shows the selected Student in RED.
