Match Report by Miss Demeester

This week two 7-a-side teams travelled to Burlington Danes Academy for a friendly. With no league of their own both teams were very excited.

Team 1, captained by Monica (7 Holmes) started strong with Leilani (7 Grey-Thompson) and Tashi (7 Radcliffe) working hard in midfield. Whilst goalkeeper Ahlam (7 Holmes) made some great saves, BDA managed to sneak a goal in. It was a great effort from the whole team, many of whom have not represented the school before, but it was BDA who took the victory.

Team 2 was captained by Yousra (7 Hamilton) and had a difficult first half finishing 2-0 down. With a motivating team talk the players geared themselves up for the challenge of the second half. It wasn’t long before hard work paid off and Ellie (7 Grey-Thompson) scored. The tireless efforts of Hanadi (7 Holmes) in defence kept the goals away and Yousra made the score equal with a second goal. A tight game with great skill finished on a draw and the team showed outstanding resilience to bring the score level. Well done to both teams!

Player of the Match: Talle-Leigh (Team 1) and Yousra (Team 2)
