Year 12 End of Year Exams
by Sue Hashemi on June 10, 2025 in Assessment Exams
A letter was sent home to parents today explaining the arrangements for the upcoming End of Year Examinations (Assessment Point 3). A digital copy of this letter can be found here: Year 12 End of Year Exams – June 2025.
Year 12 will be sitting their End of Year Exams from Monday 23rd June to Friday 4th July. The outcomes of these exams will play a significant role in their end-of-year report, help form a picture for UCAS predicted grades before Assessment Point 4 in October and determine whether they have met the academic threshold to continue into Year 13. All Year 12 students will sit their exams in the Dance Studio, under full external exam conditions. Formal invigilators will supervise the exams to ensure students are well prepared for their A-level exams next year. A copy of the general examination timetable can be found below. Students will receive a personalised version next week, which will indicate the time and venue of each exam, including arrangements for any exam clashes.
During the exam period, students are only required to be on-site for their scheduled exams or independent study in the sixth-form library. Students must sign in and out using the InVentry system at reception. They are only permitted to arrive or leave before school, at break, or lunchtime. Entry and exit during lesson times is not permitted for safeguarding reasons.
Progression into Year 13 is not automatic. Please see the letter for important information regarding forecast grades, especially non-attendance at any exam without a valid reason will result in an X grade which means the assessment will not count and may seriously affect progression.
