Match Report by Mr Hajjaj

Y8 basketball teamIn preparation for the West London Schools basketball competition later this year, our championship winning basketball team have been entered into an under 14 festival to gain experience and practice. The hope is that competing against older and more experienced teams will ensure a successful defence of our title.

The first game in the festival was an away trip to Chelsea Academy which ended in a 21-12 defeat. Despite the age and physical disadvantage the KAA team gave an excellent account of themselves and it proved to be a valuable training exercise.

KAA sprung out of the blocks with intent and as a result held a comfortable lead after two quarters. However, the tables begun to turn when the hosts begun to capitalise on our boys’ depleted energy levels. KAA defended heroically and were able to keep the score margins to a respectable deficit and should be very proud of their efforts.

Team sheet: Jeriel, Kadeem, Zinedine, Cameron J-J, and Bilal E.

Huge well done to the team!
