Year 8 Athletics Finals

The KAA year 8 boys Athletics team took part in the London Youth Games Finals on Wednesday 9^th March 2016. The top 8 schools from the previous 2 rounds of qualifiers were invited to compete at Crystal Palace.

The team were impressive on the track demonstrating strengths in both speed and endurance. Jeriel shone in the 2 lap race taking an easy victory and along with Ezekiel fought to take the lead in the 8 lap paarlauf. Bilal paced himself brilliantly to win his heat in the 6 lap race. On the field Ali demonstrated his power in the shot put.

In a tough competition the team placed a respectable 5^th place overall and did exceptionally well to make it to the finals. Well done team!
