Women’s FA Cup Final

On Saturday 14th May a selected group of students had the privilege of attending the Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium. The students chosen were those who regularly show the four core values in PE lessons and are also valued members of the Girls Football team.
Whilst most of the group were there to support Arsenal we found ourselves sat with many Chelsea fans, although this did not hinder the girls showing their support. The students had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed watching top level female footballers perform. We were fortunate enough to be sat in the perfect position for the winning goal for Arsenal and enjoyed celebrating the success.
It was a great day out and for many it was the first time they had been to a live sporting event. A special thank you to Miss Kitteringham for taking the time to come on the trip. The students are looking forward to returning to the pitch next season, inspired by what they have seen.
