Match report by Miss Demeester.

The girls football team had their first fixture of the year on Monday 19th September. We travelled to Marlborough Science Academy for the ESFA league. The newly formed team started strong, maintaining possession of the ball throughout.

Team captain Lilian (8 Nijinsky) led by example demonstrating her speed and fancy footwork. A free kick from Marlborough gave them the lead but new member of the KAA team, year 7 student Toni (7 Radcliffe), came on in defence and worked hard to keep the goals away.

The second half started well with Asia (8 Fitzgerald) and Tyra (8 Baker) playing with speed in midfield. Another new member, Yousra (7 Hamilton), came close to scoring with her brilliant dribbling skills, but it wasn’t meant to be and the team took an unfortunate defeat.

We are excited to work hard to try and improve ready for the start of the QPR league in a couple of weeks time.

Player of the Match: Yousra
