Anti-Bullying Week 2015

National Anti-Bullying Week 2015 took place on Monday 16th – Friday 20th November and was marked at KAA by a week of activities that produced intelligent, thought-provoking and inspirational contributions from students.
Each day had a different focus, allowing students to discuss bullying in the context of racism, homophobia, religious discrimination, and cyber bullying. The form time activities and library stalls were brimming with information and the students were fully immersed.
The whole school assembly led by Mr Kavanagh and the year 7 workshop raised awareness of some key issues young people are facing today and hopefully, in-turn, this will lead to the students feeling safer and more confident to speak out about any signs of bullying they might come across. If students experience or witness bullying they should report it to a teacher or place a note in the concern box at the student reception.
