Royal Academy of Dance workshop

On Wednesday 9th September 8 of our Year 8 dancers attended Dance workshop hosted by the Royal Academy of Dance. Students took part in 2 classes – a technique class and a creative class. They then worked alongside other schools to produce their own performances.

As result of their hard work students were invited to attend the Semi Finals of the prestigious Genee International Dance Competition this Thursday.

Students attended the dance competition at the Stratford Circus Arts Centre yesterday and saw 20 semi-finalists perform two dances; one that was a traditional ballet piece and one creative piece that the dancers choreographed themselves.

The trip was a wonderful opportunity for our students to enjoy some live performing and creative arts.
