The girls’ football team faced a tough fixture this week in the second round of the Inner London League. The team played Elm Green at home looking very professional in their new football kit.
The game started with an unlucky early goal for Elm Green, lighting the fire in the KAA girls to push themselves. They maintained possession for most of the first half with midfielder Rita and defender Katie working tirelessly. Some unlucky missed chances at goal left the score 1-0 down at half time.
The second half started strong with Asia coming on to play in defence. Elm Green snuck in another goal but this was followed by the determined Giovanna scoring a fabulous goal. Their new kits and brilliant effort unfortunately were not enough to win this one. Despite facing girls mostly older than them, they still put in a great effort. The final score was 3-1 to Elm Green but the team are looking forward to their return to the QPR league next week.
