Match Report by Miss Demeester

girls football home matchOn Friday 15th January the Year 7 Girls hosted a friendly against Hammersmith Academy to improve their match experience.

The game started strong with Mary Bekele working hard in midfield. An early goal from Lilian Samson in the first half helped boost the team’s confidence. However, Hammersmith managed to equalise seconds before half time, putting pressure on KAA in the second half.

Even with three more goals from Hammersmith, the girls continued to display outstanding effort. Defenders Jainaba Jallow-Halake and Lyric Grant continued to deflect possible goal opportunities.

A penalty for KAA scored by Lilian Samson brought the score up to 4-2 and she didn’t stop there. A hattrick for Lilian in the final 2 minutes made a recovery look possible but with valiant efforts we came away with a 4-3 defeat.

Heads still held high, this inexperienced team look forward to more matches in the future. A special thanks to Mr Miller for his assistance and coaching at the fixture!
