Match Report by Mr Campbell
On Friday 29th September, the Year 8 football squad had their first fixture of the year against a strong Farringtons School. The opposition had some great players but we were physically stronger and technically more advanced, which resulted in victory for KAA! Despite a long journey, the boys showed energy and vigour on the pitch. We scored an early goal, which heightened the boys’ confidence and in turn created multiple goal scoring opportunities.
Enrique is the team’s top goal scorer and never fails to deliver on a match day. Enrique (8 Grey-Thompson) scored 4 goals and Amir (8 Hamilton) had an amazing debut performance, scoring a free-kick from 30 yards out.
To top off our victory, the boys got the opportunity to meet ex England and Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand. Rio was watching his son play on the opposing team…… sorry Rio!
The final score was 5 -1 to KAA. Huge congratulations to the squad for a brilliant first performance of the season.
