Y8 Netball vs More House & Sion Manning

With great anticipation it was the turn of Year 8 to kick off their Netball season this week. They had two matches; the first against More House School started nervously, and they were 4-0 down at half time. However, in the pouring rain, they came back fighting and some excellent defending by Suad Mohamed and Jeanette Beadeau kept More House from scoring, with the game finishing at 4-0.

Next, they faced Sion Manning, and the team came back onto the court fighting. An excellent centre pass meant that Chyna Mealin could get a quick goal in the first minute and it didn’t stop there. The hard work from the Wings, Ayah Hemmid and Jennica Caparros, kept the ball in our possession. This meant Chyna could continue to do what she did best and put in goal after goal. This lead KAA to their first Netball victory of the season, an amazing 6-0 win! The team is excited for next week when, along with the year 7s, they will be hoping to continue their success!
