I am delighted to welcome you to the Kensington Aldridge Academy (KAA) website. KAA is an 11 – 18 academy situated in the heart of North Kensington. We opened in brand new buildings in September 2014 and over the last five years have grown from just Year 7 into a full school of over 1,200 students.
KAA is recognised as one of the top academies in the UK. DfE performance tables place us in the top 3% nationally for KS5 progress. In 2017, Ofsted graded the school “outstanding” in all areas and described standards as “exceptional”. In 2018 KAA was named the TES Secondary School of the Year. Students and parents who are considering KAA, or teachers who are interested in working with us, can read our Ofsted report here and see our recent results here.
Our Sixth Form is also outstanding. Last year two students secured places at Oxford University, and half the total cohort went on to Russell Group universities. Any current Year 11 students interest in applying for KAA6 should visit our Sixth Form pages.
Another distinctive feature of KAA is our partnerships. We are linked with Godolphin & Latymer and Charterhouse independent schools, which helps provide our students with opportunities that are unique in the state sector. We are also partnered with LAMDA and the Royal Academy of Dance and have a specialism in performing and creative arts subjects.
We hope that if you click around our website you will be able to find any information you need. We have included details of our curriculum, information about our partners, recent videos and news stories showcasing the many achievements of our fantastic students, our prospectus and Sixth Form prospectus, any current staff vacancies and details of all other elements of life at KAA. Prospective parents and students should visit our admissions pages for details of how to apply.
With best wishes,
The KAA Intrepidus Trust (KIT) was established to develop and fund activities that broaden the horizons of the 1200 pupils at Kensington Aldridge Academy. We support extra-curricular activities at the school in sports, academic enrichment, performing & creative arts, and life skills.
