On Wednesday 20th December the spirit of the Christmas season reached it’s peak at KAA’s Christmas panto production of Cinderella, where the enchantment of the classic tale came to life on a sold-out stage!

The demand for tickets was unprecedented, with every seat available claimed well in advance. The talented actors took centre stage, bringing the timeless tale of Cinderella to life with passion, precision, and a sprinkle of fairy-tale magic. It was a classic panto with comedy and audience participation throughout. The show included students from Year 7 to Sixth Form with performances from the Choir, Intrepidus Dance Company, School Band, Samba Band, and solo vocalists, showcasing the array of talent at KAA! A huge well done to all the students involved – over a hundred of them total – and especially the leading cast; Deia (8 KALUUYA) as Cinderella, Aarmi (9 ARMSTRONG) as Prince Charming, Mia (12 TUTU) and Dominick (9 KNOWLES) as the Step Sisters, Sina (12 NIGHTINGALE) as the Wicked Baroness, Gabriel (12 SIRLEAF) as Buttons, Stacy (8 MCQUEEN) as Dadindi, Arthur (9 SIMONE) as the Baron and Sofia (12 GLADSTONE) as the Fairy Godmother. A small selection of photos are available here, but we will make more available after the break for parents.

Our major house comeptition for Autumn 2 also took place last night, with students creating the scenary and props for the panto for House Art & Design. Our audience members were asked to vote the best scene, with each house being responsible for the set and props for one scene. The votes were counted last night and Ms Jordan revealed today in the end of term assembly that PANKHURST was the break away winners, securing 171 audience votes! The 20,000 house points put Pankhurst in lead at the end of the Autumn term, but with only 30,000 points between first and last place its all to play for next term as we see students compete in House Dance and House Debating in the spring term!
