IMG_1979On Tuesday a selected group of students represented KAA at the annual RBKC mini-marathon event. The event requires students to run a distance of 3km, with the top performing athletes being selected to represent the borough in future competitions.

The KAA team lined up in the under 13 category, in what proved to be a well-attended event. For some of our year 8 students, it was a chance to improve their performance from last year.

The team performed very well on the day and they deserve a lot of credit for their efforts to cross the finish line. Top performers for KAA were Vitara Herman and Emily Russell who sneaked into the top 20 in the girl’s competition and Jeriel Quainoo and Cameron John-Jules who broke the top 15 in the boy’s competition.

The KAA team are looking forward to future athletics competitions later in the school year and will be training hard in preparation. We would like to congratulate all of the competitors from local schools and we wish RBKC the very best in the marathon competitions this season.
