Charity Week: KAA’s Got Talent
by Vashti Turner on November 20, 2015 in Charity Creativity Drama House Competitions
Monday 23rd – Friday 27th November is House Charity Week at KAA. Each day a different house will host a series of events to raise money for a charity of their choice.
On Wednesday Angelou students will be raising money for Crisis at Christmas. Christmas can be an incredibly difficult time of year for a person cut off from family and home. Every year at Christmas, Crisis provides food, shelter, and healthcare to homeless people across the UK. Crisis at Christmas also provides companionship and support to tackle loneliness and isolation, and help people take their first steps out of homelessness.
One of the events that Angelou are hosting to raise money for this brilliant cause is KAA’s Got Talent. Last year’s show was an impressive display of student talent with dancing, singing, and musical performances. Johara won the competition with a fantastic rendition of ‘Let It Go’ from the film Frozen. This year we would like to extend the invitation to friends and family to join us for the show.
KAA’s Got Talent will take place in the theatre from 4pm-5pm on Wednesday 25th November. Entry costs just £1 and will go directly to help Crisis care for homeless people this winter. The show is certain to be packed with fantastic performances – don’t miss it!
