The entrepreneurial hub at KAA, Kensington Creates, will host its third student Creates Day competition on the 12th November 2015.
All Year 7 and 8 students at the school will be set a challenge that develops their entrepreneurial muscles and stretches academic learning through the application of the KAA core values; Resilience, Excellence, Creativity and Citizenship.
The competition is part of a series of activities taking place nationwide in celebration of the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Week. Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a global campaign which takes place annually, this year running between Monday 16th and Sunday 22nd November, and is designed to help people explore their potential as self-starters and innovators, through local, national and global activities.
This Creates Day at Kensington Aldridge Academy students will work in groups in the morning and take part in a series of workshops in the afternoon, with selected groups pitching their ideas back to a panel of judges, including MP Victoria Borwick.
David Benson, Principal at Kensington Aldridge Academy, said “The skills and attributes of an entrepreneur are not just needed in the world of business. Entrepreneurship underpins everything we do, giving our learners the confidence to achieve whatever they want in life. Creates Day is an opportunity for our students to showcase the skills that will help them succeed.”
