Year 7 Girl’s Netball Team

The Year 7 girl’s netball team took part in their first netball fixture on Thursday as part of the Kensington and Chelsea League involving a number of local schools. The team travelled to Holland Park School (host venue) to play against Burlington Danes Academy. We made a fantastic start to the game, putting BDA under a lot of pressure and had most of the possession. However, we could not manage to score the points needed and BDA took the win with a last minute goal. After a little more training in enrichment, the girl’s will be a stronger force!

Girl’s Football Team

The girl’s football team travelled to Phoenix High School for their West London Schools League fixtures vs Phoenix and St Thomas More on Tuesday. The excited team were determined to try and pick up their first league points, however it turned out to be a disappointing afternoon. The girl’s battled through the wind and rain but unfortunately didn’t manage to win the games against their older opponents (Year 8). Katie Young scored a magnificent goal from her own half which was the highlight of the day.

KAA Table-Tennis Teams

The KAA Table-tennis teams travelled to Chelsea Academy School for the RBKC Festival on Monday. It was the teams first experience of competitive table-tennis matches. A number of local schools were in attendance which made for a very good atmosphere. Playing against a very good standard of players, the KAA teams more than held their own and managed to win numerous matches. It was the Girl’s Team which came out on top, winning the Bronze medals. Well done to Geovanna Hurtado, Ayah Hemmid and Tahana Ellis!
