Our Story with Gareth Malone

In March 2019 the Kensington Aldridge Academy choir featured in the documentary “The Choir: Our School By The Tower”.
The two-part series followed KAA students as choirmaster Gareth Malone helped them create a special concert to mark the return to our original school building following the academy’s relocation as a result of the Grenfell Tower fire in June 2017. The vision for the show was that pupils should write and perform their own musical version of KAA’s story, from its beginnings to the present day – a performance showing their pride in the community, celebrating the courage and compassion they have shown each other, and looking to their hopes for the future.
Following requests from students and parents, we are delighted to announce that we have a full cut of the concert so those who were not able to attend can now watch the full show below.

Absolutely amazing
If you thought that the original BBC programme with Gareth was good, then you’ll find this even better.
