During the last week of the Autumn 1 half term, the GCSE and A Level PE students had the pleasure of listening to Ose Aibangee who is the head of TOCA football UK training and development.
Ose spoke about his career background including being The Academy Director for Brentford FC and working at football clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur where he worked with a number of elite players, such as Harry Kane and Jack Wilshire. The focus of the talk was about modern technology in sport, which is an area the students are examined on.
Ose came to speak particularly about TOCA, which Zvezdana (ATTLEE) was able to translate for the class – it means ‘touch’ in Spanish. The students were eager to get up and have a go with this fantastic piece of technology that can release footballs at varying heights and speeds.
At the end of the demonstration, the students had a Q&A session. The students’ were eager to ask questions ranging from wanting to know the course Ose studied at University, to which was the best football club he had worked it.
It was a great way to finish the half term and a memorable experience for all involved. Thank you Ose for coming in to KAA!
