Y11 GCSE Preparation Parent Evening

At KAA we are fully committed to doing everything we can to support students in their GCSE examinations. We know that, as parents, you are doing a great deal to encourage and support them at home. With so many changes to the examination specifications, and an increased level of challenge in all subjects, we are keen to communicate as clearly as possible with you about how students can prepare effectively.
We are excited to inform you that we will be running our first GCSE preparation evening, “Getting it right for our students. Part 1: Mock Examinations”, on Wednesday 26th September from 6pm until 7.45pm.
We know from collaboration with other high-performing schools that it is a combination of small things that make the difference when it comes to success. We hope the evening will provide you with plenty of ideas about how to support your child as they begin their revision for the mock examinations, which will take place from Monday 26th November to Friday 7th December.
A letter was sent home on Monday 17th September informing parents of this event. Year 11 parents are requested to return the reply slip via their child’s form tutor to indicate if they are able to attend. Wherever possible we would ask that both parents be there with their child. Students must wear their uniform when they accompany their parents. We hope the evening will provide important motivation and encouragement to them.
