Y13 AP5 Exams – Monday 4th March – Friday 15th March

Year 13 AP5 (mock exams) will take place from Monday 4th March to Friday 15th March 2024. A full timetable is shown below, and students will be given personal timetables this week.

For the duration of the mocks, students are required in school only when they have an exam. The library and other study spaces will be available as normal, but some students may prefer to revise from home. In addition to this, some subjects will be running revision sessions during the two-week period. These will fall during that subject’s normal double lesson time, and departments will let their classes know if such sessions are planned.

Students must ensure they register/sign in each day they attend KAA whether this is for an exam, independent study in the library, or to attend a revision session. If students arrive for an exam in the morning or after lunch then they must register outside the exam room with a member of staff. Students who are arriving on site to study or attend a revision session must sign in at reception; all students must sign out via the main reception. Students are only permitted to arrive and leave KAA before school, at break, or at lunchtime. Arrival or departure between periods will not be permitted.

The exams will be externally invigilated so formal exam behaviour and conduct will be expected. Failure to meet these expectations (talking/turning around in exams, having a smart watch or phone on their person, etc.) will be sanctioned severely. Students are expected to attend their mock exams in regular formal attire (smart business dress, no sportswear, no trainers). Students who don’t adhere to uniform expectations will be sent home as usual. For identification, students must wear their KAA lanyards and present their lanyard cards on their desks during all exams.

Students should now be following a revision timetable in preparation both for these mock exams and the real A Level exams, which begin in May. They should aim for 2 hours of revision a day after school, and 4 to 5 hours each day over the weekend.
