Match report by Mr Bernard.

The year 7 boys’ football team travelled to Hammersmith Academy for their West London Schools League fixture on Friday 4th December. The squad was slightly depleted due to injuries and students having to stay behind for assessment lessons, however the team were keen to maintain the 100% winning record in the competition.

The team started brightly in difficult conditions and managed to play some decent football on a bumpy surface. Striker Conor (7 Hepburn) was in great form up front, holding up the ball well to bring our midfield into play. With Rami (7 Kahlo) pulling the strings in the middle the team are always confident that they will create chances against any team. Early in the second half KAA took a well-deserved lead through Obayda (7 Kahlo), as he arrived late in the box to prod the ball home. Taking the lead gave the team a boost of confidence and they proceeded to play some excellent attacking football against a strong Hammersmith side.

The team pushed hard for the second goal and came close on numerous occasions but could not find the back of the net again. This made for a tense end to the game, but KAA managed to hold on to a well-earned victory and a vital 3 points.
