Academy Open Mornings & Evening

Our Open Evening for prospective Year 7 students and their parents and carers will be on Tuesday 24th September from 5pm until 8pm. The Principal will give presentations at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, and there will also be an opportunity to go on a tour of the academy led by our wonderful students and meet our fantastic teaching staff.

We will also be offering tours of the Academy for prospective parents/carers from 9am-10.30am on Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th September. These are an opportunity for parents and carers to tour the academy during a normal day with a member of the Leadership Team and to ask any questions you may have. Tours start at 9am and last for around 30 minutes.

Performing Arts Aptitude Places

KAA is a Performing & Creative Arts (PCA) specialist academy. We admit up to 18 students (10%) of our annual Year 7 intake to pupils who are able to demonstrate an aptitude in Performing and Creative Arts through an aptitude test.

As a performing and creative arts specialist academy we are committed to excellence in art, music, drama, dance and design technology. This means excellent facilities and – most importantly – excellent teaching within these subjects. Students at KAA also benefit from subsidised instrumental lessons and a range of theatre, concert trips and professional workshops. We believe performing and creative arts provide essential cultural knowledge to our students and develop a wide range of talents, helping them become confident, expressive communicators.

To apply for a PCA aptitude place you must:

·        Fill in the KAA Supplementary Information Form to register your child for the aptitude test
·        Apply as normal through your borough of residence ensuring that you name KAA on your list of school preferences

The supplementary information form should be completed and returned to Registrar, Kensington Aldridge Academy, 1 Silchester Road, London, W10 6EX no later than Friday 9th October 2019. Tests will take place on Saturday 12th October 2019.
