img_2158 The Y9 House Basketball competition was a great success, filled with excitement and emotion. Throughout the course of last week, Year 9 students went head-to-head to represent their house.

On the afternoon of Friday 30th September, students and teachers gathered to support their houses in the final. There was a great atmosphere in the sports hall; the students expressed themselves positively, demonstrating KAA’s core values.

Pankhurst and Franklin boys started off slow, but Franklin opened the score line from a brisk counter attack. Pankhurst were resilient and started to string together some effective passing and tactical plays leading to the equaliser. The shackles were removed; Pankhurst found their rhythm and continued their lead with the final score of 6-2.

Year 7 House Basketball begins at lunchtime today on Monday 3rd October!img_2069
