Match report by Mr Campbell.
The Y9 House Basketball competition was a great success, filled with excitement and emotion. Throughout the course of last week, Year 9 students went head-to-head to represent their house.
On the afternoon of Friday 30th September, students and teachers gathered to support their houses in the final. There was a great atmosphere in the sports hall; the students expressed themselves positively, demonstrating KAA’s core values.
Angelou and Honeyball girls battled it out in the final, but Angelou dominated the game with high possession and great energy throughout. Angelou took the victory with a final score of 8-0.
Pankhurst and Franklin boys started off slow, but Franklin opened the score line from a brisk counter attack. Pankhurst were resilient and started to string together some effective passing and tactical plays leading to the equaliser. The shackles were removed; Pankhurst found their rhythm and continued their lead with the final score of 6-2.
Year 7 House Basketball begins at lunchtime today on Monday 3rd October!
