Kensington Aldridge Academy are delighted to announce another strong set of A level results this year: 47% of all results were A* – B, 74% were graded A* – C and 94% A* – E. Our provisional “KS5 Progress” score, which shows how KAA students perform compared with their peers in other schools, is again “above average” nationally at 0.11. Most importantly, university destinations are looking very strong, including places at Russell Group Universities and some excellent apprenticeship placements.

A number of students have achieved fantastic results, including Taylor, who will be studying Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at University College, Oxford with his results of A, A, B in History, RE and English.

Abdulmalik, who achieved an amazing 3 A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and will be studying Medical Sciences and Engineering at UCL, said “I’m most proud of the grade in Biology, it surprised me as I didn’t think I’d get an A*”.

Hadel, who achieved 2 A*s, an A and a B in RE, Politics, English and History, has been accepted at King’s to study Politics. Hadel said “I’m excited to study something I enjoy in depth and to have independence to pick modules and create a course that interests me.”

Other strong results include Maria who got 2 A*s in German and Spanish and 3 As in French, History and Politics.

Principal, David Benson, said “We are again very proud of what our students have achieved. It has not been the easiest two years for them, and their success is a huge credit to their resilience and ambition, as well as the talent and hard work of their teachers.”

Enrolment day for the September 2019 sixth form intake is on Thursday 22nd August from 9am at KAA. Offer holders can arrive from 9am with their GCSE results and a form of ID. For those who do not hold an offer but are interested in joining KAA for Sixth Form, you can visit the school with your GCSE results from 12pm onwards. Priority will go to applicants who meet the entry criteria and who applied on time, and then to applicants who meet the criteria, but who applied late.
