On Monday 26th January the KAA Athletics team attended the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) Indoor Athletics competition, held at Holland Park School. We are incredibly proud to announce that the KAA boys won the event and will now represent RBKC at the London School Games Qualifiers later this month.
The event saw teams from across the borough competing in athletic track and field events. KAA students have been studying athletics in PE this term, and after fierce competition 4 boy and 4 girls were selected by Mr. Bernard to take on the challenge of representing KAA. Bilal El-Harrak, Jeriel Quainoo, Cameron John-Jules, and Roberto Gjokaj made up the boys team, and Jeanette Bedeau, Vitara Herman, Kashele Phillip and Tahana-Fay Ellis represented the girls. The KAA team proved to be a formidable force, winning 10 out of 12 of the track events, as well as jumping, throwing and bouncing their way to victory in a number of field events. The year 7 boys will now compete against students from all 33 London Boroughs for the chance to represent London nationally.
