Serpentine Art Gallery Trip
by Vashti Turner on January 28, 2016 in Creativity Trips
On Friday 22nd January 22 Year 7 students visited the Serpentine Art Gallery to see Transience, an exhibition of work by the artist Michael Craig-Martin.
The exhibition provided excellent examples of the use of colour, which our year 7s have been studying in art lessons over the Autumn term. Michael Craig-Martin’s work in this exhibition is predominantly representations of obsolete and aged technology in vivid colours. Students completed some fantastic work related to the contemporary art work whilst at the gallery.
The students selected to attend were those that showed excellence and brilliant effort in art lessons and homework over the Autumn term.
Many thanks to Miss Spalding and Miss John for organising the enjoyable trip.
