Upcoming: House Charity Week 2016
by Vashti Turner on November 17, 2016 in Charity
Monday 21st – Thursday 24th November is House Charity Week at KAA!
House Charity is an annual competition at KAA during which students raise money for a charity selected by their Head of House. Charity Week is always a lovely opportunity for our students to display our core value of citizenship by raising money to help those in need.
There will be a variety of activities throughout the week, including Sponge the Teacher, a mini disco, a sponsored Fun Run and KAA’s Got Talent. Please note that KAA’s Got Talent will finish at the later time of 5pm on Wednesday. Students will need to bring in some money if they would like to purchase snacks from charity stalls or take part in after school activities. Prices for snacks and activities range from 20p to £1.
There is no obligation for students to take part in any particular activity, but we welcome all students to get involved in fundraising for the following charities:
Monday – Honeyball – West London Action for Children
Tuesday – Franklin – Multiple Sclerosis
TBC
Wednesday – Angelou – Crisis at Christmas
KAA’s Got Talent, Nail Salon, Tombola, Book Sale
Thursday – Pankhurst – Cancer Research UK
Egg the Student, Disco, Mini-Olympics, Fun Run
During Charity Week staff and students organise events during break times and enrichment. As a result students may choose to stay after school for Charity Week activities next week, these will take place between 3.30pm – 4.30pm. Most enrichment activities will run as normal so students can either stay for their planned enrichment, or attend a charity event of their choice. (Further details of exactly which enrichments are running are below.)
Please can you show us what the houses are doing for house charity week on the day?
