Value for Money Statement

I accept that as accounting officer of Kensington Aldridge Academy I am responsible and accountable for ensuring that the academy delivers good value in the use of public resources. I am aware of the guide to academy value for money statements published by the Education Funding Agency and understand that value for money refers to the educational and wider societal outcomes achieved in return for the taxpayer resources received.

During the last financial year, improved value for money has been delivered by:

• Negotiating discounts with regular suppliers

• Utilisation of partnerships through shared training and resources

• Delivery of staff training and development internally where possible sharing knowledge and resources already available within the academy

• Tight budget control for all budget holders and regular management reporting highlighting any areas of overspend

We continue to build on strong relationships with community partners to deliver academic enrichment for our students in exchange for use of our facilities outside of school hours.
