Year 6 Transition
Welcome to KAA!
If your child has been offered a place at Kensington Aldridge Academy for September 2024 entry into Year 7, this page should provide you with all the information you will need, as well as answering any questions you might have.
Some reminders as to why KAA is the school of choice for many parents in West London;
· 41% of all A Level grades last year were A*/A, with 75% A*-B. 60% of school leavers attend Russell Group universities, with a small number to Oxbridge each year.
· 38% of all GCSE grades were 9-7, with 80% of students achieving a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths (66% grade 5 or above).
· Ofsted describe standards at KAA as not just “outstanding”, but “exceptional” and “remarkable”.
· Our 2022 Good Schools Guide review highlights the “phenomenal” education our students’ receive, stating, “bring an appetite for learning and hard work (and the right attitude – essential here) and the school will provide a banquet of opportunities – academic, cultural and sporting – that lead to success”.
· A co-curricular offer to rival any school, with a full programme of after school clubs and societies, as well as trips, visits and holiday residentials. Details can be found via our news pages.
It’s also important to note that KAA has a strong focus on student discipline, with a no tolerance approach to disruptive behaviour. Parents are required to support this approach from the start.

How do I purchase my child’s KAA school uniform?
We are proud of our young people and encourage them to be proud of their school and their community. One key aspect of this is that all of our students will wear a smart uniform. This promotes safety, a sense of community and demonstrates that students are ready to work. Students must be impeccably presented in the correct school uniform at all times. The KAA uniform consists of a grey blazer, striped tie (in house colours), maroon jumper, white shirt or blouse and dark grey trousers. Girls can choose between a pleated skirt or trousers. You do not need to purchase your child’s house tie in advance is this allocated to your child on their first day and paid for via ParentPay.
Our supplier address is: School Uniform Direct, 343 North End Road (opposite Co-Op and near to Superdrug), London, SW6 1NN. Detailed prices, descriptions and an on-line ordering facility is available from our supplier School Uniform Direct on their website. Click here to be directed to the KAA section of School Uniform Direct website.
